Birthday note to self

Here's to another year of fighting fears,

demons and self-doubts,

as well as trying to stay smart,

relevant and unique from the rest.

Here's to another year of keeping up

with everyone and everything, and yet 

staying true and honest to yourself

despite the pressures and expectations.

Here's to another year of loving yourself more,

especially during days wherein you feel alone

and people find it difficult to handle,

love and understand you.

Here's to another year of staying strong

and holding on to whatever faith you have

because you've come a long way already. 

So I hope you won't give up and keep your chin up, okay?
